Andrew to James, 'Do you have any idea where my toothbrush is?'.
James replies calmly, 'Check the back of your wardrobe', he concluded with a smile.
<Okay,Thanks>
Andrew comes back empty handed, 'James,I can't find it there too',still looking confused.
With this, James roared and thundered, 'DO YOU EXPECT ME TO BE THE KEEPER OF YOUR DAMN BRUSH. YOU ARE SO ANNOYING---I HATE YOU!
After uttering this statement, he turned sober!
This,my readers, is what the English call 'MANIC DISORDER/DEPRESSION '
A person exhibiting this character shouldn't be left lonely nor isolated,and through the advancement of science,they can be treated.
THE LITHIUM CARBONATE
The effectiveness of Lithium in treating manic disorders was first reported in 1949 by Code; but its use did not become worldwide until 1970. Although, the etiology of manic-depressive illness has not been clearly established, it is believed to be due to some biochemical irregularity. Not only is the chemical process behind manic depression uncertain, but also the mechanism whereby lithium relieves manic depression.
According to the Therapeutic Basis of Clinical Pharmacy for Tropics, One theory for the mechanism of manic and anti manic activity is that the manic state is brought on by an excess of noradrenaline at the central adrenegic synapses(which causes depression)
Other investigators have suggested that Lithium exerts its therapeutic effect by preventing the growth of hyper sensitive receptors in the Central Nervous System.
Lithium Carbonate is used for the treatment of acute maniac and hypomaniac episodes occurring in patients who suffer from manic-depressive illness
Lithium Carbonate is well absorbed when it is taken orally. There is no evidence of protein binding and it seems to be transferred directly from blood to tissues.
_Writer's Verdict:
MANY PEOPLE MISTAKE MANIC DEPRESSION FOR MENTAL DISORDER. THIS LEADS TO A CONTROVERSY WHICH IS HIGHLY WRONG!
HOWEVER, THROUGH THE USE OF THE LITHIUM CARBONATE, WE'D ELIMINATE THE RATE OF OUR MANIC DEPRESSIVES.
SO, WE SHOULD ALL LIVE LIFE.... AND LOVE LIFE
