[HawnsEdu] Former Jamb Boss Reveals Why He Was Sacked

The Former Boss of Jamb, Prof Jibu Ojerinde has given some insight as to why he was sacked.

This was disclosed in a dinner organised to honor him in Abuja. He said that he was glad that he did not leave the position the way he met it, and urged the JAMB management to keep going on upon the philosophy in which Jamb built.

He dismissed rumors that he was sacked because of the withdrawal of the candidate list that occurred in his tenure. He said:
“I feel good that I am leaving JAMB better than we all met it that time. I am sure the person who has come to takeover is going to be as good if not better than I am.

“I feel good that I am leaving JAMB better than we all met it that time. I am sure the person who has come to takeover is going to be as good if not better than I am.
“I have done everything I wanted to do. There is no other thing I want to do and that is why God says it is time for me to leave. That is it. No more.May God forbid going backwards. We will move forward. In fact they should go multimedia and I think the present person will do it'.

He dispelled the rumors that he was sacked due to the 2016 admission list that was later retrieved; stating that he was not the only one that was sacked so it does not make sense for anyone to say he was sacked because of that.
On the issue of reverting to Paper and Pencil Test, Ojerinde said that it would be tantamount to taking one step forward and two steps backwards.
